Turtle Shell Cafe Application
Are you interested in working at the Turtle Shell Café at Highlands this summer? Highlands Swim & Tennis is seeking multiple fixed and part-time hourly foodservice staff for the 2023 season. The position requires the staff member to prepare and serve food and beverages to pool guests/members. All foodservice café staff will report to the Kitchen Manager. Front Desk Application
Are you interested in working at Highlands' Front Desk this summer?
The Front Desk Attendant is responsible for creating the first and last impressions of our club experience for the Members and their guests. They promote the facility amenities, programs, and the Club while maintaining a high level of professionalism and service that aligns with the values, philosophies and standards of the club. The Front Desk Attendant will use the online membership system and payment system to check members in as well as perform the following duties:
Must be 14 years of age and acquire a work permit from school (if 15 or younger)

Front Desk Attendant Application
The Front Desk Attendant is responsible for creating the first and last impressions of our club experience for the Members and their guests. They promote the facility amenities, programs, and the Club while maintaining a high level of professionalism and service that aligns with the values, philosophies and standards of the club. The Front Desk Attendant will use the online membership system and payment system to check members in as well as perform the following duties:
- Answer telephones promptly and courteously, and direct all calls to the appropriate areas
- Connect Members through ongoing contact and promotion of club activities
- Ensure that all Members and guests check in when using the club
- Collect guest fees and other transactions on behalf of the club, such as deck rental, class sign-up, and selling pool and tennis-related goods (e.g., tennis balls, goggles, t-shirts)
- Total earnings from the day and report to the Manager on duty
- Perform jobs on daily list of duties for opening and closing
- Perform periodic safety and cleanliness checks
Must be 14 years of age and acquire a work permit from school (if 15 or younger)

Lifeguard responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensures the safety of all pool patrons.
- Lifeguards from the lifeguard chair when there are one or more swimmers in the pool.
- Always wears approved Guardian Aquatics lifeguard uniform while on duty.
- Responds quickly and competently to all emergency situations.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the entire facility including but not limited to the pool, deck, pool furniture, bathrooms, office and trash cans.
- Checks patrons into pool at designated location.
- Enforces rules in a fair and consistent manner.
- Sets an example for pool patrons.
- Properly uses and maintains all safety equipment.
- Reports all defective equipment to your supervisor.
- Complies with all health department rules and regulations.
- Complies with all OSHA standards regarding chemical safety and blood borne pathogens.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures outlined in the Lifeguard Manual.
