Snack Bar Staff – Summer 2026
Highlands Swim & Tennis Club is hiring friendly and responsible staff to work at the Turtle Shell Café for the 2026 summer season.
The Turtle Shell Café serves food and beverages to club members and their guests in a fast-paced, supervised environment. This role is ideal for teens looking for their first job and for applicants who enjoy teamwork and customer service.
All Turtle Shell Café staff are supervised by the Kitchen Manager and Club Management.

Pay Rate
$13.00 per hour

Who Can Apply
• Must be at least 15 years old
• 15-year-olds must obtain a Virginia Employment Certificate
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Food service experience is a plus but not required

Job Responsibilities
• Prepare and serve food and beverages
• Operate the point-of-sale system (training provided)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of café areas
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Provide friendly and professional customer service
• Work as part of a team in a busy pool environment

Training & Screening
• Food safety and job-specific training will be provided by Highlands prior to the start of the 2026 season
• Training dates and times will be communicated during the interview process
• Applicants who are 18 years of age or older must consent to and successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment

Availability Requirements
• Available during the 2026 summer season
• Ability to work weekends and holidays, including Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day weekends
